UCSF ALS Clinic and Cottage Health Santa Barbara launch ALS clinic in Santa Barbara

SB Clinic Article

On June 20-21, the UCSF Medical Center’s Health Clinic and Cottage Health Santa Barbara launched a new satellite clinic. Supported with a grant from the UniHealth Foundation, the clinic is focused on providing specialized local care for people living with ALS in the greater Santa Barbara area. Nine ALS Network clients have already accessed the clinic since its opening, with the next one slated for September.

The clinic provides ALS patients with consultations, ongoing treatment recommendations, and follow-up care from the UCSF multidisciplinary clinic team, ensuring local access to specialized ALS care and eliminating geographic barriers.

The ALS Network extends our deepest gratitude to Jill Goslinga, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor, Neurology UCSF Neuromuscular/ALS Division; Kathleen Kelsey, Care Manager ALS Network, Superior Mobility, My Best Respiratory Homecare, and the rest of the UCSF ALS clinic team for their contributions to our ALS community.
