The 2023 Central Coast Ride and Rally to Defeat ALS was a great success!

ALS Golden West hosted the 2nd annual Central Coast Ride and Rally to Defeat ALS on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Bang the Drum Brewery in San Luis Obispo. The Fall event brought incredible energy and an outpouring of support for those affected by ALS in the Central Coast. Participants joined members of the ALS community for a family-friendly morning of celebration, exercise, education, awareness, music, food, and kids’ fun. All funds raised support the mission priorities of ALS Golden West in care services, public policy, and research.

The day was kicked off with three different cycling routes of 34 miles, 25 miles, and 18 miles. A walk route was also offered to participants. Following the routes, a gathering was held at Bang the Drum Brewery, where food was served and music was played by Woodland Drive Music. 

The event was a great success, with 150 participants, together raising $64,971 toward their $70,000 goal.
