Serving Hawaii’s ALS Community
Everything we do advances the search for effective prevention strategies, treatments, and cures for ALS. The ALS Network provides comprehensive and compassionate care services, free of charge, to people living with ALS and their loved ones throughout the state of Hawaii. Our evidence-based model of care is designed to help people live longer and better with ALS and to engage the ALS community in research that will accelerate scientific discovery and therapy development.

Let’s Walk & Roll to Cure ALS in Hawaii
Each year, the ALS Network hosts two Walk & Roll to Cure ALS events in Hawaii! These annual fundraising events bring incredible energy and an outpouring of support for those affected by ALS in Hawaii.
The Walk and Roll events include wheelchair-accessible routes, an ALS resource fair, entertainment, food, prizes and giveaways, and a Festival Zone with activities for all ages. Registration is free, while fundraising and philanthropy through the Hawaii and Big Island Walks provide critical funding for essential care services, important public policy initiatives, and cutting-edge research.
If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities for the Walk and Roll to Cure ALS program, or other events throughout Hawaii, please contact AnnMarie Ingham, Director of Community Outreach at HIWalk@alsnetwork.org or (808) 480-9689.
All proceeds from the Big Island and Hawaii Walk & Roll events are utilized to support programs and services for Hawaii's ALS community.
“I didn’t know what ALS was before I was diagnosed. At first, it was like the whole world dropped out for me and my family. I used to be able to sing with my choir, before I lost my voice to the disease.
I have always participated in various community service activities, and I am always happiest when I give back to others. I am so grateful for my children and grandchildren.”
–Elizabeth Corpuz Sy, living with ALS since 2020
“Our mother is loving, caring, and very giving. She donates a lot of her money to family in the Philippines and the community. She has sacrificed a lot for our family.
Since forever, she used to always add “HECS4Ever,” below her signature on letters and notes, which stands for “Honestly Elizabeth Corpuz Sy Forever.” So we thought she'd like that to be our team name.
Mama is a warrior. We are Walking to raise awareness and support, so no one else has to face this disease.”

Team Captain, Team HECS4EVR
