Since my wife, Sharalyn, was diagnosed with ALS in August of 2020, we have faced many challenges but found support through the ALS Network (formerly the ALS Association Golden West Chapter). It was extremely helpful to have someone like our care manager, Cindy, who was dependable and always available for us.
Every time we attended the ALS clinic, Cindy was also there to discuss and help navigate our concerns, and offer guidance and suggestions that are always beneficial.
Living with ALS is a very complex process, and there are a lot of issues that come up. When there are unanswered questions and things we are uncertain about, the ALS Network has been extremely supportive and is the go-to resource to get those questions answered.
They have been a lifeline.
