Monterey Peninsula Foundation Awards $20,000 Grant to ALS Golden West

The Monterey Peninsula Foundation, host of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and PURE Insurance Championship Impacting the First Tee, has awarded ALS Golden West a $20,000 grant to support ALS care service related initiatives in the Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties of California. 

“This grant is critical in helping ALS Golden West provide care and resources for people living with ALS and their caregivers,” said Audra Hindes,MSEd, MHC, VP of Care Services for ALS Golden West. “The foundation’s partnership is helping improve quality of life for those we work with on a daily basis.”

Designed to be allocated between October 2023 and June 2024, the funding will be used for multiple purposes including professional care management, equipment loans, and direct assistance grants.

The Monterey Peninsula Foundation operates a place-based, responsive grantmaking strategy that spans a broad range of ages and community needs, seeking to strengthen the network of services, programs, and support that contribute to healthy vibrant communities. They often fund organizations over the longer-term, while keeping an eye on new opportunities to positively impact the region and help organizations capitalize on best practices in the field.
