Mike looks forward to focusing on the aspects of non-profit leadership he is most passionate about, which include supporting staff, building effective teams, and engaging meaningfully with the ALS community.
“I’m honored to join an organization that works tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of those living with ALS and their loved ones,” Mike said. “I look forward to serving the ALS community by providing the support and tools necessary to expand our work in California, Hawaii, and beyond.”
Mike’s principle goals during his first year as COO include:
- Supporting leadership strategies to expand reach and connect with key stakeholders across California and Hawaii.
- Building relationships with staff members and support teams to strengthen the overall mission of the ALS Network.
- Broadening ALS advocacy efforts on both the federal and state levels.
“Supporting our organization internally and externally is pivotal to creating a strong network for our ALS community,” Mike said. “My goal is to ensure we can balance and increase our efforts as we drive the discovery of prevention strategies, treatments, and cures for ALS.”
Mike’s vision for the ALS Network is backed by the urgent need to provide access to quality care and connection; and promote initiatives to improve health outcomes for those living with ALS.
Prior to joining the ALS Network, Mike served as president and CEO at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles where his remarkable skills played a pivotal role in transforming the lives of families in need.
