The ALS Network, along with ALS Foundation of Hawai‘i and ALS Ohana, held the annual Lei of Remembrance, a memorial ceremony honoring the people with ALS in Hawai‘i who have died since 1998.
The annual event started with sign-waving at the Capitol building in recognition of May as ALS Awareness Month, raising awareness of ALS within the local community.
Following this, members of our Hawai‘i ALS community recognized the lives lost to ALS, stringing a flower for each individual on lei, which was then placed on the Father Damien statue at the capitol.
All of us at the ALS Network thank our Hawai‘i ALS community for their dedication to raising ALS awareness and celebrating ALS Awareness Month.
