The ALS Network is grateful to our ALS ohana for generating ALS awareness throughout May, ALS Awareness Month.

On May 16, 2024, the ALS Network, ALS Foundation of Hawaii, ALS Ohana of Hawaii, and members of the ALS community met with Hawaii Governor Josh Green at the Honolulu State Building for a special proclamation signing ceremony to recognize the month of May as ALS Awareness Month. Among the attendees were ALS Network board members Caroline Landry, Jan Medusky, and Aubrey Rupinta and members of the ALS Network’s Hawaii staff including AnnMarie Ingham, Mac Negre and Rex Like.

Governor Green greeted all participants and Caroline Landry and Cherryl Fluke, JD, Executive Vice President, Mission Advancement of the ALS Network, shared community remarks highlighting ongoing efforts to ensure access to comprehensive multidisciplinary ALS care and to accelerate the discovery of effective prevention strategies, treatments and cures.

All of us send a big mahalo (thank you) to Governor Green for signing this proclamation and for his thoughtful and heartfelt support of the ALS community.
