The ALS Network commends Governor Gavin Newsom for signing AB 2613 into law. This bill establishes the Jacqueline Marie Zbur Rare Disease Advisory Council (RDAC), making California the 29th state to create an RDAC.
1-in-10 Californians live with a rare disease with critical needs. With this bill in effect, Californians with ALS and other rare diseases are ensured to have strong voice in shaping healthcare policies that impact their lives.
Thank you to Rick Zbur for introducing and championing the bill, who was named in honor of his sister, Jacqueline (Jackie) who battled ALS.
