Give the gift of family and hope this season — Make your gift by December 31
“In a world that too often forgets, our donors, volunteers, and the ALS community help us remember what matters most: compassion, justice, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Their partnership is not just support — it’s a shared commitment to dignity and hope.”

Dear Friends,
Every great change begins with a commitment—one courageous decision to act, even in the face of uncertainty.
This resolve is what propels the ALS community forward. It’s reflected in every person with ALS who bravely participates in research to advance hope; in caregivers who choose love and resilience each day; in scientists who dedicate their lives to finding treatments; in advocates who speak out to change policy. And it’s in you—because your partnership powers the ALS Network’s mission to care, to serve, and to cure ALS together.
That shared commitment has already produced remarkable progress this year. Thanks to friends like you, our robust model of wraparound care and proven core programs are helping more people live longer and better with ALS—and our entrepreneurial approach allows us to forge new partnerships, leverage technology, develop robust online offerings, and launch novel initiatives to better serve the ALS community.
We’ve amplified the voices of people living with ALS to shape real change in care and policy. This year, we’ve accelerated discovery—funding 14 innovation grants, supporting more than a dozen early-career researchers, and hosting one of the nation’s most results-driven scientific gatherings, the ALS Network Research Summit.
Yet the reality is that ALS still moves faster than science. Too many people are still waiting—for answers, for treatments, for cures.
As federal funding remains uncertain, we’re expanding our advocacy in California, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C., to safeguard research funding, protect critical resources, and improve access to essential care. At the same time, we continue to evolve—meeting growing needs, seizing new opportunities, and partnering with the ALS community to lead efforts that result in lasting and positive change.
That’s why a special holiday gift means so much. It ensures people facing ALS have access to coordinated care and support along with the vital hope needed every day of the year.
When you give, you’re not just supporting programs—you’re helping people who are navigating life’s most challenging circumstances. Here are a few examples; there are countless others:
- A father who needs an adaptive communication device so he can tell his children he loves them after losing his voice
- A single mother, unable to work due to disease progression, who can access transportation assistance so she can participate in a clinical trial
- A teenage caregiver finding connection, understanding, and relief at a weekend camp surrounded by peers who share his journey
With your generous gift, the ALS Network provides expert support and essential services to nearly 2,500 people with ALS, and more than 3,000 family caregivers and loved ones each year.
This holiday season, please make your gift by December 31 to keep this momentum strong. Your commitment and your gifts power our mission priorities:
- Personalized care management for every person diagnosed with ALS and their loved ones
- Access to expert clinical care and essential medical equipment
- Bold investment in cutting-edge science and promising treatments
- Advocacy to ensure funding for ALS care and research
But your impact also reaches far beyond immediate support. You are driving the search for cures—fueling bold ideas, empowering new scientists, and sustaining research that brings us closer to breakthroughs once thought out of reach.
We’ve come so far, and we’re not slowing down. Together, we will continue this momentum—expanding access, strengthening our community’s voice, and advancing scientific breakthroughs that will lead to better health outcomes and ultimately cures for ALS.
From my heart to yours, thank you for being part of this extraordinary family of support.
With hope and gratitude,
