Letters of Intent for ALS Research Funding Accepted April 15 – May 15
The ALS Network, in partnership with ALS United, proudly announces that letters of intent for ALS research funding will be accepted April 15 – May 15, 2025.
“We are honored to launch a public request for letters of intent as part of our rapidly expanding ALS Research Innovation Initiative,” said Sheri Strahl, MPH, MBA, president and CEO of the ALS Network. “This new research funding is a critical step in powering innovative ideas that provide pioneering solutions for improved ALS prevention strategies, treatments, and eventual cures. It also represents the exponential impact of collaboration, with ALS Network and ALS United jointly funding this important initiative.”
As one of the nation’s leading nonprofit sources of support for scientists studying ALS, the ALS Network, a member of ALS United, partners with ALS United member organizations and leaders across the ALS research ecosystem to directly fund global research.
The ALS Research Innovation Initiative provides grants to fund novel, scientifically rigorous ideas that can transform our understanding of ALS. With oversight provided by ALS Network’s Scientific Advisory Committee and Community Research Committee, a nimble “pitch session” approach to vet unique projects accelerates the application and award process, moving promising science forward faster. Our unique niche in the research funding landscape helps propel up-and-coming, disruptive ideas to later phases in the discovery pipeline.
The 2025 application process will open April 15, with details shared via the ALS Network’s website and social media accounts. For questions about the process or the ALS Network’s research program email us at research@alsnetwork.org.
