ALS Community Gathered at the 3rd Annual Central Coast Ride & Rally to Cure ALS
The ALS Network hosted the 3rd annual Central Coast Ride & Rally to Cure ALS on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Bang the Drum Brewery, in San Luis Obispo. The family-friendly day was filled with celebration, exercise, education, awareness, music, food, and kids’ fun. Thank you to everyone who joined our ALS community and brought such incredible energy and an outpouring of support for those affected by ALS in the Central Coast!
Since its inception in 2022, the Central Coast Ride & Rally to Cure ALS has been a yearly opportunity for the ALS community to connect and fuel the search for effective treatments and cures for ALS. As of the event day, participants raised almost 50% of the $80,000 goal, but you can still make a gift today to help us reach our goal!
“While we conduct that urgent effort to cure ALS, it also means we’re supporting people living with ALS and their loved ones with critical care services. I can’t tell you how much that means to me and the many people that I’ve met with ALS,” Katey said. “My brother, who died of ALS in 2013, lived in New Zealand at the time and there was no local organization, like the ALS Network, to help. It’s a huge reason why I support this organization and will continue to do so.”
We are grateful to our sponsors Sunset Honda, Martha Olsen Fernandez Foundation, Superior Mobility, Numotion and Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America for their support! The ALS Network is incredibly thankful for all the support from these sponsors for the ALS community and in raising ALS awareness.
“This year, the Central Coast Ride and Rally to Cure ALS hosted eight ALS patients and their loved ones,” said Tammy Galt, Director of Community Outreach, Central California. “We are grateful that year after year, this event continues to be very fun and entertaining, and brings our ALS Community together as we raise awareness and funds to help fuel the mission of the ALS Network.”
We invite you to choose YOUR way of supporting the ALS community from wherever you are, and join the community to walk, or roll in support. Proceeds from the Central Coast Ride & Rally will be used to support our California programs and services for Central Coast’s ALS community.
Thank you to our ALS community in the Central Coast for your dedication to the ALS Network’s mission and for joining us for the 2024 Central Coast Ride and Rally to Cure ALS.
