Giving Tuesday: Stories from families helped by your support
On Giving Tuesday your support can create a lasting impact. Your gift will help provide care services, resources, and community connection; fuel groundbreaking research; and advance important public policy initiatives that benefit the ALS community. Learn more about the families helped by your support this Giving Tuesday.
Meet Etzael Jimenez
A donation to the ALS Network on Giving Tuesday, means more than 2,000 people like Etzael Jiminez and his loved ones are connected to a family of support throughout their ALS journey.
Etzael Jiminez and his loved ones are part of our family – accessing specialized care and guidance to maximize health, mobility, safety, and communication. Learn more about Etzael’s ALS journey.
As your family of support, the ALS Network is investing in new and promising treatments for ALS. In 2024, your gifts helped establish a world-class Scientific Advisory Committee that approved four innovative projects with dozens more in the pipeline.
Meet Jared Gill
When Jared Gill’s father was diagnosed with ALS, he and his loved ones became a part of our family – accessing specialized care and guidance to maximize health, mobility, safety, and communication.
“Over the past two decades the ALS Network and the ALS community have become an extension of my family,” Jared Gill, ALS Network Board Member, said. “When I was a teenager, my father, John, was diagnosed with ALS, and our world changed in an instant.”
This holiday season, Jared reflects on nearly 25 years without his father and acknowledges that while many celebrate moments of joy and connection during the holidays, families affected by ALS often face unique challenges.
And, as your family of support, the ALS Network has advocated for permanent Medicare coverage for telehealth services, set to expire on December 31, 2024 – one of many issues we prioritized this year.
On Tuesday, December 3, you can double the impact of your donation! All gifts made on Giving Tuesday are being matched by a $50,000 grant from a generous donor. Your donation to the ALS Network is tax-deductible.
